Jehovah Shalom – The Lord is Peace

Jesus said that the peace He can give is not like any peace you have ever known:

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

The circumstances of your work, relationships, or the world around you may not be peaceful, but God can give you what He calls the “peace that passes all understanding.” (Philippians 4:6) It is inside peace to deal effectively with an outside unpeaceful world. It is a true peace that makes circumstances seem very small compared to the very big God of the universe who created and can overrule any force, person, or situation. Just ask Him to give you this peace and to take away any fear or anxiety that may crop up in your life from time to time. Call on the God of Peace and He will faithfully answer you.
